General Information
Q - What included with the Package
The dealer website package provides a high quality website solution with the function to advertise stock and business information in a live environment without the monthly fee's or website operating costs which are usually associated with many online dealer systems.
Our product first originated from a small web development project for a local car dealer looking for a simple website solution , since the success of this development we have upgraded the software and managed to roll out this product to many dealers around the country looking for the same simple solution to advertise stock online.
Q - What is the comparison between our competitors ?
As our software is a standalone website solution with minimal operating costs and no limitations we would say that our website packages provide a unique and popular service to vehicle dealers of all sizes. We have basically re-built your common dealer website system into a low cost solution with all the same features.
Q - Which vehicle features have not been implemented ?
The only feature we didn't want to implement was the use of Data feeds to external classified networks , even though this is a popular choice with many vehicle dealers we thought it would defeat the purpose of having a standalone website solution offering this functionality. Also maintaining the payment and data migration on a daily basis would increase our operating costs.
Q - Will my website be custom design or a template ?
Both , You will notice that our websites uses a fixed framework and layout structure which has been designed to astatically please your customers and give them a quick and easy browsing experience. To customise your website to suit your requirements we simply modify the external style sheet which updates all of your pages without manual editing each page, we can change the header design , colours , fonts and even dimensions to suit your requirements.
The concept of this technology allows us to reduce our prices further and update your website software to a more stable and compliant version. We can also apply banners and flash to your designs so please let us know on your application.
Domains and Hosting
Q - I already have a domain name ? can I use this with my new website ?
You can use your own domain as long as you have the access to the domain name servers. If requested we can contact your current suppliers to inform them to release your domain to us or update the name servers on your behalf.
Q - Do I need to pay for monthly hosting or is this included ?
All packages come with a free 12 month hosting plan and support if required , we will even renew your primary domain name if its due for renewal. The annual hosting and support fee is a fixed price of £99.99. Which will be requested through email 30 days before your renewal period.
Q - Can I Self Host this Software on my own hosting account ?
Unfortunately we can't allow remote hosting at the moment but we are working on a solution to allow customers to self host our software on any hosting company of there choice.
Stocklist Management
Q - Can I really advertise all my stock online , with no limits ?
Yes , We presume the average vehicle dealer has a stock size of 5-50 vehicles which can easily be added using our quick vehicle add function. If your stocklist is much higher than this and you expect to receive a high volume of traffic then please let is know on your application. The bandwidth and disk space limit per account is unlimited.
Advertising 3rd party stock without the owners / business consent is not allowed on our network.
Q - How long does it take to add a vehicle , to my stocklist ?
The process of adding a vehicle to your stocklist is quick and simple and it only takes a couple of minutes. There is NO requirement to manually write out each vehicle description , simply select each vehicle option or feature from a dropdown box or checkbox and it will automatically be presented on your vehicle advert.
If you do need to add additional information there is a vehicle comments text box which will accept HTML tags if you require colours or graphics.
Q - What happens to my vehicles once they have been sold ?
Sold vehicles can be displayed on your website or they can be deleted permanently from your stocklist. Or leave them in your sold vehicle repository hidden from customer view.
Website Management
Q - How much control do I have on my website content ?
Full Control , Your dealer website will dynamically change depending on your settings in your control panel. For example if you wish to remove your business opening hours simply make this feature hidden and this will remove that element from your website with just one click. This feature applies to most of your page content which is all editable from the control panel.
You can even control the zoom level and map controls on your business location map so those days of HTML editing and FTP uploading are over.
Q - Can I advertise other services and information on my Website ?
Yes , one of the main functions we implemented in our dealer websites was the ability to add services , information etc. We found that most of the online dealer systems available didn't have the option for users to create or publish there own content through there own websites. You will be glad to know you can add unlimited services , links to your websites using our built in HTML MCE Editor.
Q- Is my website compliant with today's web standards ?
Our latest dealer website package 2.1 or higher is W3 XHTML Compliant which means we have taken extra special care developing your website to be compatible with today's web standards and also to improve your SEO ( Search Engine Optimisation ) rank.
